Panther P.R.I.D.E

Positive • Respectful • Integrity • Determined • Excellence

Elementary school is the foundation of a child’s educational journey—a time when students develop essential skills that support learning, behavior, and relationships. At our school, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) provides the structure and guidance needed to help students grow in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.

Inspired by the strength, focus, and resilience of the panther, our PBIS framework encourages students to move through their learning with confidence and purpose. Just as a panther thrives in a well-balanced jungle ecosystem, our students flourish when expectations are clear, supports are aligned, and relationships are strong. PBIS supports the development of foundational skills across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains, helping students build habits that will carry them forward.

Guided by our PRIDE expectationsPositive, Respectful, Integrity, Determined, and Excellence—students learn what it means to contribute to their school community while striving to do their best. Our PBIS practices are intentionally data-driven and system-focused, allowing us to consistently align supports and services to meet the needs of the whole child. These systems create consistency, accountability, and care, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Strong relationships form the heart of our school community. Just as every part of the jungle plays a role in its strength, the connections between students and staff create a sense of belonging and safety. These relationships encourage students to take risks, persevere through challenges, and develop confidence as learners and leaders.

The PBIS Pyramid of Supports

Our tiered framework ensures that all students receive the support they need to thrive:

  • Tier 1 (Universal Supports):
Schoolwide expectations rooted in PRIDE, proactive teaching of behavior, positive classroom environments, and recognition of positive choices that support all students.

  • Tier 2 (Targeted Supports):
Small group supports focused on social-emotional skill building, behavior development, mentoring, and check-in/check-out systems for students needing additional guidance.

  • Tier 3 (Intensive Supports):
Individualized interventions, wraparound services, and close collaboration with families and specialists to support students with the highest needs.

Aligned Supports and Services

Our PBIS framework is supported by a strong, connected team working together for student success. We believe every adult on campus plays a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for our students.

  • Administrators – Provide leadership, vision, and systems that ensure consistency, equity, and student-centered decision-making.

  • Counselor – Supports social-emotional growth and student well-being.

  • Parent-Student Advocate – Strengthens home-school partnerships and family engagement.

  • Social Workers – Address barriers to learning and connect families to community resources.

  • School Psychologist – Provides assessment, mental health support, and individualized planning.

  • Dedicated Teachers – Create engaging classrooms and model PRIDE expectations daily.

  • Support and Classified Staff – Including instructional aides, office staff, campus supervisors, cafeteria teams, and the groundskeeper, who help maintain a safe, welcoming school environment.

From the groundskeeper to the principal, every member of our school community is committed to supporting your child’s growth and success.

Through PBIS, our elementary school builds strong foundations for learning and behavior while fostering a community where students grow with PRIDE. Guided by clear expectations, caring relationships, and consistent systems, we support every student in striving for excellence, just like the panther—focused, determined, and strong.
