Dear Palm School Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 Academic Year! On behalf of our dedicated teaching team and wonderful support staff, it is an absolute joy to welcome both our new and returning families back to campus. We are thrilled to partner with you for a school year focused on growth, discovery, and student success.

Regular school attendance is vital for building strong habits of accountability and ensuring your child doesn't miss out on crucial learning experiences. This year, we are maintaining our goal of a 96% or higher attendance rate for all students. If your child does need to miss school, please notify our main office at 559-528-4751 to verify their absence.

Reading remains the heartbeat of our academic mission. Under our guiding principle, "Literacy is King," our primary target this year is to ensure that 90% of all of our students achieve or exceed grade-level reading proficiency. To help us reach this milestone, we ask that all students read independently for at least 30 minutes daily at home. Your partnership in fostering a love for reading makes all the difference.

We are deeply committed to continuous instructional improvement and scholastic distinction. For the upcoming year, we are aiming for a 5% increase in our overall CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) results.

Maintaining a safe, encouraging, and positive environment is our top priority. We look to our Panther P.R.I.D.E. core values to guide student behavior, kindness, and empathy daily. We encourage every student to embody these traits: Positive, Respect, Integrity, Determined, Excellence.

Please join us for our Title 1 meeting and Back-to-School Evening on August 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your child's teacher, review classroom expectations, and ask any questions you may have before the school year begins.
